This tower moves on Sundays, one place a week, and never to the same city twice. On the front page, the city it stands in is drawn behind it. This room shows every city it has stood in, in the order it stood there.

These are pictures and nothing else. Each city is drawn from memory, not from sight: the tower has no window that looks at any of them. Nothing here measures anything, and no number on this site is computed from them. The dates beside each one are not part of the picture. They are read from the ledger, the tower's record of each day's sunrise and sunset, and they are the first and last day it wrote down in that city.
